DAISY NEEDS OUR HELP AGAIN!

When we looked for a perfect family for our Daisy her adopters checked all the boxes.

The home check was wonderful. Interview went great. Meet in person was excellent.

And then 48 hours into having her they said they cannot keep her anymore.

Daisy is 13 and she went through a lot to get to the UK. We only sent her because we were convinced that we found an incredible home for her. But we are now told that she is being aggressive to the resident cats.

We try to prepare our adopters to the reality of taking in a shelter dog. We walk and talk them through the whole adjustment period but at the end you cannot make someone give a dog a chance.

Daisy is a very slow, very gentle dog. She had not much interest in dogs or cats and we believe that her behaviour is due to her being confused and overwhelmed by everything happening.

We need a new home for her. The final place to go through because it’s not fair to keep moving her.

If you have a space for a senior dog or know someone looking to adopt one please let us know.

Daisy is located in Luton and can travel to her new home.

Daisy is a big girl with lots of love to give.

She is 13 years old and really deserves a home of her own.

She is good with all of our dogs but likes to have peace and quiet.

She is great with people and children, a gentle giant. She is mum to Viki.

Daisy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and ready to travel to the wonderful home she deserves to spend the rest of her life in.

Adopting from our shelter is probably easier than you think. Before adoption, all dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, treated for worms and fleas, and have their own passports. To help defer those costs, we ask for a donation fee of 500 Euros (approx £430) which includes adoption fee and transportation costs. As the transport costs do vary, we can help with fundraising for these costs if necessary.
