A mutual love of all animals drew Don and Elaine together over 40 years ago. After a career of supporting animal welfare causes as California State Officers and owners of a veterinary hospital and Animal Service Centre in the States, they became focused on the horrible plight of animals elsewhere in the world, especially Eastern Europe. Searching the internet, they became aware of the work that Maya and Sanela were doing for dogs in Bosnia. Elaine and Don say "Under distressful situations, these dedicated rescuers, joined by Maya’s husband, Adnan, has been a shining light in the never ending need to find homes for these dogs. We now support Hope VMS Elaine's Dogs by donations and whatever administrative assistance we can offer".
